4 Function

The device is a durable and lightweight pediatric knee designed for children of activity levels 1
to 4. The knee has a polycentric design for stability during stance, comprising pivots connecting
a chassis to a main body via 4 link arms. The geometry of the knee provides efficient progression
into swing phase at the required point in the gait cycle, increased toe clearance during the swing
phase when compared to a single axis knee and short protrusion when sitting.
There is a choice of three extension assist springs with adjustable pre-load to provide swing
control. Main bearings in the linkage are both replaceable and adjustable to prolong service life.
