MTS 100
[8]
LINE: Light indicator. Indicates whether the equipment is connected to the mains.
[9]
LOW BATT: Light indicator, showing that the battery charge is very low and approaching the automa-
tic cut-off point.
[10]
TV: Selects monitor operating as a conventional television set.
[11]
SYNC: Selects the display of the line synchronizing pulse on the SCREEN [38] of the monitor, along
with a lateral displacement of the picture if a TV carrier is tuned, or the user may input an external
video signal using the connector [7].
[12]
SPECT: Transforms the instrument into a frequency spectrum analyzer, and a figure showing the dif-
ferent signals present in the sweep and the selected band is displayed on the SCREEN [38].
[13]
TUNE/SELECT: Dial selector. Controls continuous tuning or can be used to select the various opera-
tions controlled by each key. If it is turned slowly, it acts as a thin cursor, and when it is turned rapidly
it acts as a thick cursor, that is, it moves in larger intervals.
[14]
SOUND
FM/TV band. Pressing the key selects the detection of the RF carrier frequency modulation as the
sound channel for the broadcasts in the FM band.
With the key in its original position, TV sound is selected as detection of the sound subcarrier fre-
quency modulation, selected by the SEL [34] in SOUND mode and TUNE/SELECT [13] controls wit-
hin a frequency range of 4 to 9 MHz.
SAT W/N band. Selection of satellite audio filter Wide (300 KHz) / Narrow (110 KHz). Wide audio filter
is selected by pressing the switch.
This function is disabled under SPECT [12] mode.
[15]
STD L / BAND C
TV band. This key selects "L" standard audio at 6,5 MHz (AM) disabling the sound function with the
key in its original position B/G, I, DK standard is selected.
SAT band. This key select video invertion for C/Ku satellite reception.
[16]
IF ATT 20 dB: Selects 20 dB attenuation for the IF attenuator for the level measurement in the TV
band.
[17]
RF ATT 40 dB: Selects 40 dB attenuation for the RF attenuator in the TV band.
[18]
RF ATT 20 dB: Selects 20 dB attenuation for the RF attenuator in the TV band.
If the user selects controls [17] and [18] simultaneously, the RF attenuation is 60 dB.
75 Ω: RF signal input in the TV band. Max. level 130 dBµV.
[19]
RF
[20]
TV: Light indicator. Indicates that the user is in the TV frequency band between 45 and 862 MHz.
[21]
SAT: Light indicator. Indicates that the user is in the SAT frequency band between 920 and 2150
MHz.
75 Ω: RF signal input in the SAT band. The max. level is 130 dBµV.
[22]
RF
[23]
SHORT: A light indicator showing that there is an overload in the LNB power supply.
[24]
DRAIN: A light indicator showing that the load in the LNB power supply is normal.
[25]
ATT 30 dB: Selects 30 dB attenuation in the SAT band.
[26]
22 kHz: Selects the 22 kHz switching frequency superimposed on the LNB power supply in the SAT
band.
[27]
18 V: Selects the 18 V power supply for the LNB in the SAT band.
