3.1. MilTouch Formula Decisions
Formulas are made up of steps. Each step is programmed through a series of decisions.
Type = Type of Step
3.1.1.
(0) End Formula—always the last step in a formula; signifies that there are no further steps and
prompts programmer for How to End Formula
(1) 1-way Wash—basket rotates in one direction only throughout this step; used for small goods
(2) 2-way Wash—basket reverses rotation periodically throughout this step; used for goods
which might tangle
(3) Soak Wash—basket is stationary throughout this step; minimizes mechanical action
(4) Staged Extract—extract step with increasing speeds, used between bath steps
(5) Standard Extract—extract step at maximum speed, used at the end of a formula
Time = Step Duration
3.1.2.
The table shows the duration of the step in hours, minutes, and seconds.
00 00 15—step duration of 15 seconds
00 07 30—step duration of 7:30
01 03 45—step duration of 63:45
Note 2: The total time for a wash formula will be greater than the sum of the individual step times because
of drain times and coast times, which vary among machine models.
Temp = Commanded Bath Temperature (Optional)
3.1.3.
This decision is available only if the machine is equipped with and configured for optional
temperature control.
050°F/010°C—minimum temperature in any bath
205°F/095°C—maximum temperature in any bath
Hot = Hot Water Valve
3.1.4.
OFF—hot water valve off
ON—hot water valve on
