11 Faults and troubleshooting
The device can display error messages after diagnostics or during operation. If an error occurs, it is stored
in the <Logbook> submenu. If an error occurs, one of these error messages is added to the actual value
display. Use the <◄ ►> arrow buttons to switch to the respective actual value displays. A new diagnostic
process can be started with the <OK> button. A relay box can be purchased; it switches the device in the
event of active errors. With the help the service software, select the errors that trigger the switching of the
relay. The relay box is a potential-free NC contact and NO contact. The signal can be used as an error
information or for the emergency function.

► Contact your retailer or ABICOR BINZEL in the event of questions or problems.

Faults and troubleshooting
Cause
Password/password entry has errors.
Input pressure is not in the required
range.
Shielding gas escapes uncontrolled
from a leak in the area between the
device outlet and the closed solenoid
valve in the wire feeder. This error can
occur only if there is no shunt signal
(no welding).
Error with internal sensor system is
present.
Voltage is not in the required range.
Internal error is present.
Internal error is present.
Temperature is not in the required
range.
The gas volume flow cannot be
achieved when the valve is completely
open due to back pressure that is
too high.
The gas volume flow cannot be
achieved when the valve is completely
open due to input pressure that is
too low.

Troubleshooting
► Re-enter the password.
► Determine the cause and observe
the required input pressure range.
The pressure regulating unit should
allow at least as much inlet
pressure as the maximum flow of
the device (30 liter, 1–6 bar).
► Check the connections for a proper
fit.
► Replace defective seals.
► Contact the ABICOR BINZEL
service team. Send the device for
troubleshooting to
ABICOR BINZEL.
► Check the power supply and
power supply cable; supply the
required input voltage.

► Contact ABICOR BINZEL Service
to have the device recalibrated by
ABICOR BINZEL service personnel.
► Disconnect the device from the
power supply, allow it to cool down
and contact ABICOR BINZEL
Service.
► Check all system lines (is a line
bent?).
► Check the status of the welding
torch's gas nozzle and replace, if
necessary.
► Maintain the required input
pressure.
