Caution!
Do not stand in the working range of the trunk lift-
er! Risk of injury!
Resetting the trunk lifter:
This is used as a second guard arm when not using the
trunk lifter. To do this, the arm is raised until it engages
on the locking lever.
Transport position of the trunk lifter:
Guide the trunk lifter up by hand until it latches into
place.
Attention!
Always keep the base plate clean so that the swivel
table can engage securely using the locking hooks.
• Only split logs that have been sawn off straight.
• Split the wood horizontally.
• Never split wood lying down or crosswise.
• Wear suitable gloves when splitting wood.
End of work
• Move the riving knife into the lower position.
• Pull the stop lever (16) (Fig. 12)
• Switch off the device and disconnect the mains plug.
• Close the bleeder screw.
• Observe general maintenance information.
Electrical connection
The electrical motor installed is connected and ready
for operation. The connection complies with the appli-
cable VDE and DIN provisions.
The customer's mains connection as well as the ex-
tension cable used must also comply with these reg-
ulations.
• The product fulfils the requirements of
EN 61000-3-11 and may only be used at the follow-
ing connection points: This means that use of the
product at any freely selectable connection points
is not allowed.
• Given unfavourable conditions in the power supply
the product can cause the voltage to fluctuate tem-
porarily.
• The product is intended solely for use at connection
points that
a) do not exceed a maximum permissible mains im-
pedance of "Z" (Zmax = 0.382 Ω), or
b) have a mains constant current carrying capacity
of at least 100 A per phase.

• As the user, you are required to ensure, in consulta-
tion with your electric power company if necessary,
that the connection point at which you wish to oper-
ate the product meets one of the two requirements,
a) or b), named above.
Important note
In the event of overloading, the motor will switch itself
off. After a cool-down period (time varies) the motor
can be switched back on again.
Damaged electrical connection cable
The insulation on electrical connection cables is often
damaged.
This may have the following causes:
• Pressure points, where connection cables are
passed through windows or doors.
• Kinks where the connection cable has been improp-
erly fastened or routed.
• Places where the connection cables have been cut
due to being driven over.
• Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the wall
outlet.
• Cracks due to the insulation ageing.
Such damaged electrical connection cables must not
be used and are life-threatening due to the insulation
damage.
Check the electrical connection cables for damage
regularly. Ensure that the connection cables are dis-
connected from electrical power when checking for
damage.
Electrical connection cables must comply with the ap-
plicable VDE and DIN provisions. Only use connection
cables marked with H07RN.
The printing of the type designation on the connection
cable is mandatory.
3-phase motor 400 V / 50 Hz
Mains voltage 400 Volt / 50 Hz.
Mains power connection and extension leads must be
5-core = 3 P + N + SL. - (3/N/PE).
The mains power connection must be protected with a
max. 16 A fuse.
