THE PANERAI RADIOMIR S.L.C.
3 DAYS
The Panerai Radiomir S.L.C. 3 Days watch is a special edition of 750 pieces
inspired by a rare, mysterious version of the Radiomir of which only two
examples are known. This appeared at the end of the 1930s and was unusual
for its unique and original dial design. The Radiomir S.L.C. 3 Days is a Special
Edition which picks up this dial design.
The origin of this dial is not easy to identify. According to some historians, the
two surviving examples (which differ in that one has a small seconds dial and
the other does not) were possibly test samples, which were not followed. The
loss of the Panerai archive in the Florence flood of 1966 does not allow this to
be known for certain.
The black dial is protected by a Plexiglas
an element descended from the models created at the end of the 1930s by
Panerai for the Royal Italian Navy with the crystal made of polymethyl
methacrylate.
The case is characterized by the "VINTAGE" engraving between lugs at 6
o'clock and the PAM reference inscription at 12 o'clock, while engraved on the
rehaut at 12 is the name of the dial "S.L.C.".
The Radiomir S.L.C. 3 Days is fitted with the P.3000 calibre, entirely designed
and manufactured in the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel.

HE CASE
The Panerai Radiomir S.L.C. 3 Days watch has a case of 47 mm formed of AISI
316L steel. It has the characteristic cushion form, typical of Panerai, and is
made using manufacturing techniques involving many complex operations
which ensure a remarkable aesthetic finish and at the same time great
resistance in terms of water-resistance and shock-resistance.
The screw-down crown is conical in shape and personalised Panerai.

The back has a sapphire crystal window, enabling the movement and its haute
horlogerie finish to be admired. On the back of the case are engraved the case
number, the sequential number of the watch with the number of the
production, the material and the maximum depth of use. The reference of the
watch is engraved between the lugs at 12 o' clock and the word "VINTAGE"
between the strap attachments at 6 o'clock to emphasise the strong historical
connotations of this watch.
The water-resistance of your watch, indicated on the back by the symbol
, is guaranteed to a pressure of 10 bar, which correspond to the
hydrostatic pressure exerted by a column of water on 1 square centimetre at
a depth of 100 metres under normal conditions. In these circumstances your
watch is therefore water-resistant to a depth of about 100 metres.

HE CRYSTAL
The crystal is made of acrylic PMMA or Plexiglas
resistance to water and UV rays.
Engraved on the rehaut at 12 is the name of the dial "S.L.C.".
NOTE: Because of the delicacy of this material, a second crystal is supplied
with the watch which will, if necessary and if the watch is covered by the
warranty, be replaced once free of charge on presenting it at any Authorised
Panerai Distributor throughout the world.
It can be damaged by insecticides, sun creams and solvents.
T
HE DIAL
The dial has a minimalist appearance, consisting of an alternation of baton
hour markers – double ones at 12 o'clock and single ones at 3, 6 and 9 – and
dot markers. It is of sandwich type, consisting of two superimposed plates, the
upper one is perforated with baton hour markers and dots, whereas the lower
one is covered with a layer of luminous substance.
