SYNERGIC PARAMETER ADJUSTMENT
Potentiometer
This potentiometer is used to change the values of parameters (if
active) displayed on the A - PARAMETERS DISPLAY when the
DIGITECH 400 PULSED generator is set on WIRE-FEEDER AD-
JUSTMENT (see paragraph "Adjustment from generator or from
wire-feeder").
HOLD FUNCTION Led
Shows that values of parameters displayed by the A and V - PA-
RAMETERS Displays are respectively the current and voltage val-
ues at the end of the last welding. The led flashes for 15 seconds
or until you press any currently activated key.
A - PARAMETERS Display
This display reads the following functions (if activated):
• WELDING CURRENT both pre-set (in SYNERGIC mode only)
and actual;
• WIRE SPEED both pre-set and actual;
• THICKNESS OF ITEM BEING WELDED pre-set (in SYNERGIC
mode only).
V - PARAMETERS Display
This display reads the following functions (if activated):
• WELDING VOLTAGE both pre-set (in SYNERGIC mode only)
and actual;
• TRIMMING ADJUSTMENT OF WELDING VOLTAGE (in
SYNERGIC mode only);
• ELECTRONIC INDUCTANCE
Programme DISPLAY
This display shows:
• The number of the programme when the wording P + a number
varying between 000 to 299 appears;
• The work setting (spot) number when the wording Au + a number
varying between 01 and 99 appears.
The setting is active if the numbers after the wording remain unal-
tered, flashing settings are not active but can only be memorized.
ARC LENGTH ADJUSTMENT Potentiometer
This potentiometer is used to change the values of parameters (if
active) displayed on the V - PARAMETERS DISPLAY when the
DIGITECH 400 PULSED generator is set on WIRE-FEEDER AD-
JUSTMENT (see paragraph "Adjustment from generator or from
wire-feeder").
WIRE TEST - GAS PURGE Selector
This incorporates the functions of the GAS TESTING and WIRE
TESTING keys on the generator (they are active together and
working the keys does not interfere with the changeover switch
and vice versa). The solenoid valve is activated and the gas starts
to come out when this button is pressed or released. The gas
stops coming out, automatically, after 30 seconds or, manually, by
pressing or releasing the button. The motor is activated for about
3 seconds, at a constant speed (established by the manufacturer)
equal to 1 m/min, and the rod starts to move as soon as this but-
ton is pushed. After this, in about 1 sec, the motor increases its
speed to 8 m/min. When it is released the process ends. In order
to continue to move the rod onwards, it is necessary to continue
to keep holding the button down.
