Open the padding liner and place the foot and lower leg in the Walker. Pay attention to good heel
positioning, it should be placed securely in the very back of the heel rest. The padding liner is then
closed on the foot and in the lower leg region using the Velcro dots, pay attention to it sitting crease-free.
Information for the technician:
Setting the foot length:
If required, the foot length can be adapted to the patient's circumstances by moving the front binding.
For this purpose, the front binding is raised and pulled upwards gently to disengage it. Following this, it
can be moved and be locked in the desired position by pressing it downwards gently.
3
Then, adapt the grey front cover by attaching it centrally to the padding liner again using Velcro. The
valve at the upper end should be freely accessible. If the valve is not freely accessible, pull the liner
towards the knee (upwards). For the optimum functioning of the X-Walker, the front cover in the foot and
lower leg region must be positioned between the padding liner and the brace rest so that both brace rests
overlap.
Close the four circumferential Velcro fasteners in the order specified below:
1. Start with the fastener on the ankle joint.
2. Close the lower leg fastener close to the knee.
3. Close the strap in the metatarsus/toe region.
If necessary, re-tighten again.
4 + 5
Remove the valve cap and screw the vacuum pump provided onto the valve. Pay
attention to hand-tight fitting. In order to draw the air out of the liner and generate
the vacuum, now pump several times until the pump no longer jumps back. Remove the pump from the
valve and re-attach the valve cover. You should now feel a surface stabilisation in the lower leg and foot
region. If necessary, re-tighten the fastening straps again.
Tip: To ensure a good fit, we recommend that you pay attention to even distribution of the filling, which
consists of a large number of small balls. By fluffing up the padding liner before putting the brace on or
smoothing out the filling with your hand, you can achieve even distribution of the filling and optimise its fit.

Removal
6
To remove the aid, take the valve cover off and reduce the vacuum by pressing the blue button on
the inside of the valve. You hear the air flowing into the liner. Then, open the harnesses and the
liner, remove the front cover and the brace from the leg.
