5.2. Switching on and regulation (see Fig. 1 )

To switch on the conditioner, press and hold down the button (7) for one second.
All of the indicator lights and display segments will switch on for an instant to
make sure they are operating correctly. The indicator light (6) may remain on
for a few seconds to make sure that it is operating correctly. At the end of the
switching on procedure, the conditioner will set itself to "view" mode and the
display (3) will show the temperature in the cab. When it is switched on, the
conditioner starts up at medium cooling power "A" and the conditioner's top fans
are also started up. The fan conveying fresh air into the cab starts up with a
delay of 30 seconds from the switching on process. The fan starts up for a few
seconds at maximum and then continues at the last speed setting.
The mode for setting the required temperature is accessed by pressing and
releasing one of the two buttons (11). In this mode, it is possible to set the
ambient temperature to be maintained inside the cab.
This mode is marked on the display by three short horizontal lines that light
up in front of the number displayed. The value displayed shows the required
temperature.
Continuing to press the h button (11) will increase the value, while continuing to
press the i button (11) will reduce it.
Possible selections for the required temperature can vary from 18 °C to 25 °C.
If neither of the two buttons (11) is pressed within 10 seconds, the appliance will
return to display mode.
Fan speed regulation
Fan speed can be set to any of 4 levels. Repeatedly pressing the button h (10) will
increase airflow speed, while repeatedly pressing the i button (10) will reduce
speed. The mode for setting fan speed is accessed by pressing the buttons
(10); this mode is shown on the display by the letter "C", which will switch on,
and by a moving line in front of the number to show the fan level selected.
If neither of the two buttons (10) is pressed within 10 seconds, the appliance will
return to display mode.
Timer mode
The timer mode is used to switch the conditioner off automatically after a certain
time interval.
The Timer mode is accessed by pressing and releasing the button (9).
By repeatedly pressing the key (9), it is possible to set operating time from a
minimum of 30' to a maximum of 6 hours, with 30' intervals. To disable the
timer mode, hold down the key (9) until the display shows "h 0.0". Pressing
the key (9) while the timer function is enabled shows the residual time on the
display. If the key (9) is not pressed within 10 seconds, the appliance will return
to display mode.
When the timer function is enabled, the "Operating" LED flashes.
The timer function is deactivated by switching the conditioner off and then on
again.
