BEFORE INSTALLING THE PUMP, READ THIS OWNER'S MANUAL
CAREFULLY. Refer to the product data plates for additional
operating instructions and specifi cations.
INSPECTION
Little Giant pumps are carefully tested, inspected, and packaged
to ensure safe delivery and operation. Please examine your pump
carefully to ensure that no damage occurred during shipment. If
damage has occurred, note the nature of the damage and contact
the place of purchase. They will assist you in replacement or
repair, if required.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This is the safety alert symbol. When you see this
symbol on your pump or in this manual, look for one of
the following signal words and be alert to the potential for
personal injury:

Hazardous pressure. Do not run pump against

closed discharge. Release all system pressure
before working on any component.
Do not run this pump dry. Fill the pump with

water before starting or it will be damaged. The motor on this
pump is guaranteed by the manufacturer, and if it fails it must
be returned to an authorized service station for repairs. The
motor warranty is void if repairs are not made by an authorized
repair station.
Do not touch an operating motor. The surface

of the motor may be hot. Allow the motor to cool for 30
minutes before handling.
Most water system problems result from improper installation.
Please read this owner's manual carefully before starting
your pump. The Troubleshooting section will assist you in
locating and eliminating the cause of most problems you
may encounter. Identify and make available all the tools and
supplies you will need to install your pump, such as wrenches,
screwdrivers, pipe sealant, pipe fi ttings and nipples, and wiring
material.
