Pressure differences
The pressures of the cold and hot water connec-
tions must be balanced.
Adjustment
Correction is necessary if the temperature mea-
sured at the take off point differs from the tempe-
rature set on the scale. To adjust temperature pro-
ceed as follows: Turn the setting knob until water
at a temperature of 38° C comes out of the outlet.
Loosen screw of setting knob. Remove setting knob
and turn to the 38° C position. Attach setting knob
again and tighten its screw (please see page 10).
Temperature limitation
The temperature range is limited by the safe-
ty check to 38° C. If a higher temperature is
required, it is possible to override the 38° C check
by depressing the red safety button.
Safety Function
The desired maximum temperature for example
max. 42° C can be pre-set thanks to the safety
function (please see page 10).

Maintenance
There is no special maintenance for thermostats.
However, the non return valves (21) must be
checked regularly according to DIN EN 1717 in
accordance with national or regional regulations
(at least once a year). At this time, please also
check the filter situated on the MTC-ther-moelement
(16). After assembling the MTC-thermoelement
(16), it is necessary to check the water tempera-
ture at the take off point as described under the
expression „adjustment". Before the adjustment,
please check, if the warm water supply is activated
and the maximum temperature of the warm water
is available at the take off point.
To garantee a smooth running of the thermoelent, it
is necessary from time to time to turn the thermostat
from total hot to total cold.
