Installation of the guide (V)
The guide with a scale facilitates cutting surface in a straight line. The guide should be mounted in the base, then set for the
desired cutting width and, after that, lock the screw.
Additional notes
Do not use your hands to remove loose pieces, splinters and similar parts of the workpiece from the surroundings of rotating saw
blade.
Do not use the saw outdoors during the rain or other atmospheric precipitation.
Do not guide the saw only by hands. Always use the auxiliary instruments, which will allow for sure running of the saw, such as
guide.
After checking the saw blade and its fi rm mounting, setting the depth, the angle and width of cutting you should also:
Make sure, that movable guards can operate freely, without blocking themselves.
Do not lock the mobile guard in its open position.
Make sure, that all rotary mechanisms of the guard system are working properly.
In saw machines, which are equipped with a splitting wedge, you should make sure that the splitting wedge is adjusted in such
a way, that:
- distance between the splitting wedge and a fl ange of the blade with the teeth is not greater than 5 mm,
- crown of the blade with the teeth does not protrude for more than 5 mm further of the bottom edge of the splitting wedge,
- it is located in the line of the rotating disc,
- it is not wider than the width of the saw blade.
You should always use the splitting wedge! (in saw machine models equipped with a factory made splitting wedge)
Do not disassemble the splitting wedge, that protects the circular saw and the tool against its damage.
Wear eye protection, hearing protectors and working gloves. Wear a dust mask.
Attention! When you are working with manual saws your should always use a hearing protection.
Secure the workpiece to the workplace (e.g. by using carpentry clamps, vice, etc.).
In the case when you are cutting surface made from hard wood (oak, beech, hornbeam) it is recommended to connect an external
device to collect dust the dust which is produced during processing to the hole for a dust extraction.
OPERATING OF THE TOOL
Connecting the saw to the mains may be carried out only after you have completed all of the steps listed in the section " Preparation
for work".
Adopt a stable stand.
Grab the saw in both hands with the grip and additional handle (VI).
Turn on the saw by pressing the button of lock switch, and then by pressing the electric switch (VI). During the operation it is not
necessary to hold the lock button.
When you turn on the saw, you should hold it freely for a few seconds and check the smoothness of its operation. In the event
of any suspicious sounds, glitches, etc. you should immediately stop your operation and again follow the steps the sky in that
chapter "Preparing for operation".
Place the saw base to the surface of a workpiece in such a way that the saw blade does not touch this item (VII).
Attention! Do not manipulate the movable guard of the saw blade. All activities related to the cutting must be done when you are
holding the saw with both hands.
you should lead the saw along the cutting line so the base of the saw touches the surface of the workpiece.
When the switch is pressed on, you should allow to reach, by the circular saw, the rated rotational speed and only then start the
cutting. It is forbidden to press the saw to a material and only then run the tool. This can result in the blocking of saw, its failure or
damage to the material. This can lead to a serious injury.
In the case when you resume cutting, you must let the circular saw to achieve its nominal revolutions, and then enter it into the
saw cut.
During cutting with the circular saw it should be guided by a smooth motion, you should also avoid to apply an excessive pressure.
Pressure on the cutting head should not to be greater than this, which is enough to cut material. Hitting with circular saw to the
cut material should be avoided.
If the saw locks itself in the workpiece, you should immediately turn off the saw by pressing the lock button and the electric switch
and only after that you may withdraw the saw machine. At the time of cutting, you should pay particular attention to the possibility
of slippage or recoil of the saw, and therefore, the risk of accident. During operation you should not exert too much pressure on the
workpiece material and do not make sudden movements, in order to avoid damage to the circular saw and circular saw machine.
Make regular breaks when working,.
