MAINTENANCE
GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND
SERVICE INTERVALS
Maintenance and checking that the
system is operating well is required
under current legislation for cen-
tralized heating systems, and it is
also strongly recommended, with a
similar frequency, for the installed
appliance referred to in this manual,
in order to ensure the long-term
proper functioning.
Before starting any maintenance,
remove the power supply at the main
switch and access the unit to shut-
62
off the water circuit valves affected
by the maintenance.
Clear those components which may
contain hot water before handling.
Emptying the appliance of the water
it contains must be done indirectly
through the systems it is connected
to.
Cleaning the filter
Each module is fitted with a filter on
the primary flow from the heating
plant. It is essential that the filter
is inspected and any impurities are
removed from the internal cartridge.
Failure to clean the filter may cause

an increase of the load loss to the
module.
The module manufacturer recom-
mends there is a de-scaling treat-
ment plant for the water which is
supplied to the thermal plant.
The removal of limescale from parts
of' the equipment must be made using
special substances, and according
to the specifications on the safety
product sheet of the product used.
The manual limit valve must not
be adjusted by the user but only by
qualified, expert technicians.
