SETTING THE TARIFF REGISTER
On the basis of set parameters for energy and time, there are two tariff registers available for totalization. The registers may be set using
the specific software and then displayed on the screen or downloaded onto the computer.

INTERFACES AND OPTIONS
OPTICAL INTERFACE (INFRARED)
For data transfer from the heat counter
to the computer, an optical head needs to
be connected to the computer. The opti-
cal head and the required software are
available on request.
The optical interface (infrared) is acti-
vated by pressing the appropriate button.
If no valid 'telegram' is received within 60
seconds or if the button is not pressed
again, the interface will deactivate.
The optical interface is battery powered.
M-BUS
The two way heat counter is equipped
with an M-bus interface The power is
supplied by an M-bus network (version
without galvanic isolation) making the
number of readings for each instrument
unlimited. MicroCLIMA in the version
with M-bus interface with galvanic isola-
tion, uses battery power for communica-
tion.
Therefore, the number of requests that
can be sent to an instrument is limited.
The M-bus protocol complies with EN
13757-2, EN 13757-3, EN 1434-3 and ver-
sion 4.8 of Recommendations for M-bus
of November 1997 with protocol IEC 870
parts 1, 2 and 4.
It is recommended that the structure of
the M-bus network (length and diameter
of the cables) is compatible with the
transmission speed (2400 Baud) of the
connected control unit.
During the transmission of data via
M-bus, the other interfaces of the elec-
tronic control unit can not be used.
Installation recommendations:
– No control unit can withstand a voltage
greater than that allowed by the bus
voltage (50 V). Additional protection
measures must be supplied by a level
converter.
– The installation of an M-bus network
must only be carried out by qualified
technicians.
– Recommended cable: telephone cable
J-Y(ST) Y2 x 2 x 0.8 mm².
