4. Clean the instrument, in order to protect personnel and the environment from damage
through residual media.
9.3

Recalibration

DKD/DAkkS certificate - official certificates:
We recommend that the instrument is regularly recalibrated by the manufacturer, with
time intervals of approx. 12 months. The basic settings will be corrected if necessary.

10. Dismounting, return and disposal

Personnel: Skilled personnel

10.1 Dismounting

DANGER!
Danger to life caused by electric current
Upon contact with live parts, there is a direct danger to life.
The dismounting of the instrument may only be carried out by skilled
personnel.
Disconnect test and calibration installations only once the system has been
isolated from power sources.
When disassembling the instrument the following must be followed:
1. Ensure that there is no positive or negative gauge pressure on the instrument and that
all parts of the instrument are at room temperature.
2. Switch the instrument off using the [ON/OFF] button on the front.
3. First pull the power supply unit from the mains socket and then from the power supply
socket on the instrument.
4. Loosen the pressure connections.
5. Do not close the pressure inputs!
6. Make sure that no media adheres to the instrument. Clean as required, see chapter
9.2 "Cleaning".

10.2 Return

Strictly observe the following when shipping the instrument:
All instruments delivered to WIKA must be free from any kind of hazardous substances
(acids, bases, solutions, etc.) and must therefore be cleaned before being returned, see
chapter 9.2 "Cleaning".
