4. Take out the small limescale filter inside the water reservoir and clean it.
5. Clean all accessories, with the exception of the base, with warm water and mild detergent.

7. Check the connecting cable regularly for any damage.
The housing and the outside of the teapot should be cleaned regularly to remove any dust, finger-
prints or other marks and streaks. For this purpose, we recommend the BEEM Premium Cleaning
Cloth. This specially impregnated cloth gets rid of dust and unsightly fingerprints in next to no time – it
does not scratch and is particularly gentle to the material. An additional cleaning agent is not required.
The BEEM Premium Cleaning Cloth can be obtained from selected specialist stockists, directly via our
website www.beem.de or from our customer service department on request.
Cleaning the Teapot
Over time tea residues may stain teapots. They should therefore be thoroughly cleaned regularly
(at least every 4 weeks).
We recommend that you do this using BEEM Premium Cleaning Tablets. They will remove the residues
quickly and easily. In addition, the cleaning tablets are gentle on the material and guarantee food-
safe cleaning - ensuring an authentic tea flavour. BEEM Premium Cleaning Tablets can be obtained
from selected specialist stockists, directly via our website www.beem.de or from our customer service
department on request.
Cleaning with the BEEM Premium Cleaning Tablets
1. Dissolve one cleaning tablet in water at 60 – 70°C.
2. Pour the solution into the teapot (3).
3. Close and move the teapot to ensure that the inside is wetted with the cleaning solution.
4. Let the cleaning solution take effect for a few minutes.
5. Empty out the cleaning solution and thoroughly rinse the teapot several times.
The BEEM Cleaning Tablets do not have any descaling effect!
Descaling
Limescale deposits have an adverse effect not only on the quality of the tea and the water, but
they also cause power losses and shorten the lifespan of the device. The thicker a limescale layer is,
the more difficult it is to remove.
We therefore recommend regularly removing limescale deposits with a descaling agent in accordance
with the water quality in your area and how often the device is used (approx. every 2 – 6 weeks).
The first indications that descaling is required are a large amount of steam being produced and
slower boiling of the water. Limescale deposits on the bottom of the reservoir in samovars can
cause the device to switch off prematurely.
