1.3. INSERTING THE BATTERY
1.4. FUNCTIONS
PAC 27 ammeter clamps are used to measure DC currents up to 1400 A, AC currents up to 1000 Arms
(1400 A peak), and combined currents (AC+DC) without opening the circuit in which the currents flow.
They indicate the shape and amplitude of the current measured in the form of a voltage.
They are used with oscilloscopes.
They can be powered by a battery or at 5 Vdc via the optional micro‑USB connector.
PAC clamps include:
a range overshoot indicator,
a power supply indicator,
a zero adjustment pushbutton,
automatic standby to prolong battery life,
one or two ranges depending on the model (sensitivity 1 and 10 mV/A),
a micro‑USB connector to connect an external power supply.
Use a screwdriver to unscrew the captive screw
of the battery compartment cover.
Remove the battery compartment cover .
Connect the battery to the snap‑on connector;
take care with the polarity .
Place the battery in its compartment .
Put the battery compartment cover back in place;
make sure that it is completely and correctly
closed.
Screw the screw back in.
