Journeyman Ductable Dual Fuel Indirect-Fired Heater
Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
Heater is plug to electrical power supply, green
light does NOT come ON.
Green light ON, burner motor does not start.
Burner motor hums
Gas solenoid does not open
Gas solenoid opens, but gas is not detected
or ignited

SOLUTION
Check all breakers
Bad or Poor power connections
Defective green light
No power to air pressure switch
Defective air pressure switch
Vent pipe is blocked or down draft in vent pipe
Incorrect wiring at motor
Defective burner motor
Pressure switch tube is blocked
Riello control board is lockout. Reset board, see p.18 on
how to reset board
Put the selector switch in either MANUAL or
THERMOSTAT position
If thermostat is connected, set thermostat above room
temperature
Auto high limit switches may have tripped. Allow switches
to cool down to auto reset
Defective Riello control board
Check burner motor capacitor connections
Defective capacitor
Defective burner motor
Fan wheel binding or seized motor
Check for power to solenoid
Defective solenoid
Defective Riello control board
Open all gas supply valves
Supply proper gas pressure
Air in gas supply line. Purge the air.
Plug orifice. Clean or replace the orifice.
