Reduces the vibrational stress.
10 Standard accessories
Allen key (10b).
Only part of the accessories described or shown
in this instruction manual will be included with
your power tool.
Intended use of the power tool.
for sanding small surfaces, corners and edges, for
sawing thin parts of steel sheet, wood and plas-
tic, for scraping, polishing, rasping, cutting and
separating without water in weather-protected
environments, using the application tools and
accessories recommended by BTI.
Operation of the power tool off power
generators.
This machine is also intended to be pow-
ered by a.c. generators with sufficient
power output that correspond with ISO 8528,
design class G2. Compliance with this Standard
in particular is not given when the so-called dis-
tortion factor exceeds 10%. When in doubt,
inform yourself about the generator in use..
Instructions for putting into
operation.
Mounting the suction device (Figure 11).
Mount the suction device step by step as
shown in the figures.
For connection with a BTI Dustex or a vacuum
cleaner, various hose adapters are available as an
accessory.
To remove the suction device again,
push the clamp at the mark to the rear
(Figure 11-8).
Operating instructions.
Changing the tool (Figure 6).
Do not use accessories not specifically intended
and recommended for this power tool by BTI. The
use of non-original BTI accessories can lead to
overheating of the power tool and destroy it.
For adjustment of the most convenient
working position, the application tool can
be mounted in 45° steps.
Loosen the quick-clamping lever (1) and
swivel it to the stop.
Pull out the fastening element (6a).
Clean the tool holder (7), the application
tool and the fastening element (6a).
Place the application tool exactly onto
the star-shaped tool holder (7). Pay atten-
tion that the application tool has a flush fit.
Insert the fastening element (6a) to the
stop into the tool holder.
Swivel the quick-clamping lever (1) back
until it engages.
Protect your hand and fingers from being
bruised/crushed from the snapping back
quick-clamping lever. The quick-clamping lever
pivots back powerfully due to the spring force.
Attaching/replacing the sanding sheet (Figure 8).
Align the sanding sheet and press it onto
the sanding plate by hand.
Firmly push the power tool via the sand-
ing sheet onto a flat surface and briefly
switch the power tool on. This provides
for good adhesion of the sanding sheet and
prevents premature wear.
The sanding sheet can be pulled off again and
then remounted offset by 120° when only one
tip of the sanding sheet is worn.
Securing the work piece.
Secure the workpiece firmly. A work
piece that is gripped tightly in a clamping
device or vice, is more secure than if held by
hand.
General operating instructions.
