Note! All users must be informed about what
solvent is being used, at all times.
Approved solvents Group IIA
Any solvents and solvent mixtures intended for
spray gun cleaning that are classified as Group IIA
according to EN 60079-20-1 may be used, such as
acetone, toluene, isobutanol, xylene.
Water or water-based solvents may also be used in
the automatic washer and manual sink for solvent-
based paint.
Approved solvents Group IIB
In addition to solvents classified as Group IIA,
solvents classified as Group IIB are approved for
use in DRESTER ACE spray gun cleaners provided
that the following conditions are met:
• An MESG (Maximum Experimental Safe Gap)
value higher than 0.8 mm, and/or
• An MIC (Minimum Igniting Current) ratio higher
than 0.7.
• The solvent volume does not exceed 70%
of the solvent mixture used in the spray gun
cleaner.
For any questions, please contact Hedson
Technologies.
Manual sink for waterborne paint
In the manual sink for waterborne paint, only water
may be used.

PERMITTED SOLVENT DRUMS

• fit into the unit.
• be leakfree.
• be made of a conductive material.
Note! Check local regulations concerning the
maximum allowed volume of solvent inside the
unit.

accept any responsibility for drums used. Follow
the solvent supplier's instructions carefully.

COLLECTING TRAY
Install the unit so that any accidental leakage of
solvent or contaminated water does not spread
into any drain water system. To achieve this:
• Install the unit where the floor and walls can
hold any accidental drum leakage, or
• Fit the unit with a collecting tray placed
beneath the solvent drum and water container.
The collecting tray should be large enough
to hold the volume of at least one leaking
drum.
9.
ASSEMBLY
To assemble the unit:
1. Check the packaging for transport damages.
2. Remove the packaging and check that the
unit has not been damaged during transport.
If so, report this immediately to the transport
company.
3. Attach a quick coupling to the air line on the
right side of the unit.
This air line is used to blow out the spray gun after
the cleaning procedure.
4. During transport, the air gun of the unit is
placed inside the unit. Remove it and fasten it
with its magnet in a convenient place.
