8. Preparing the air fryer
Remove the product from the packaging and remove all the packaging material, stick-
ers and plastic wrap from the appliance.
Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, dry and level surface.
Pull the frying basket (1 1) out of the appliance. Remove the frying insert (9).
Rinse the frying basket (1 1) and the frying insert (9) with hot water. Dry both parts thor-
oughly.
Wipe the housing using a damp cloth.
DANGER!
Risk of injury!
As a result of the high temperatures, the surfaces become
extremely hot during use and can lead to burn injuries if
touched.
Always use the frying insert (9) together with the frying
basket (1 1).
Use oven gloves where appropriate.
During operation, touch the appliance only by the frying
basket handle (10) and control elements.
Place the frying insert (9) into the frying basket (1 1). Press it down completely.
NOTICE!
Possibility of damage to the appliance!
Damage to the non-stick coating due to sharp edges.
Make sure that the silicone buffer feet (12) are always at-
tached to the frying insert (9) to avoid damage.
Place the air fryer on a heat-resistant surface.
Only connect the air fryer to a properly installed, earthed and fused socket. The local
mains voltage must correspond to the technical specifications for the appliance.
When using the appliance for the first time, odour or smoke may develop due
to manufacturing residues. However, this is not dangerous and will disappear.
Run the appliance empty for 30 minutes at the highest temperature setting of 200°C
(see "9.1. Setting the cooking time and temperature" on page 66) and ensure ade-
quate ventilation.
