6.1.5.2 Measuring imbalance
Having completed the preliminary operations, a
Measuring run can be launched:
— Lower the wheel guard from the fully raised position.
The BALANCING screen appears (Fig. 4-6).
After measurement the balance weights can be fi tted,
or a weight minimisation or optimisation run can be
carried out. The specifi c icon (1,Fig.4-6), indicates
that the machine suggests a weight Optimisation or
Minimisation procedure is carried out (F 7.1).
After measurement the machine stops automatically
and the wheel is braked.
The screen shows the unbalance measured for
each correction plane and the direction towards the
correction weights positioning.
6.1.5.3 Correction of inputs after measurement
If incorrect data and/or incorrect wheel type or
balancing mode were entered for a measuring run
(Type of Vehicle, Alu Mode):
To reset the corrected rim dimensions and/or the
corrected measurement methods
— Return to the ENTERING RIM DATA screen (Fig.
4-7).
— Use the Green Arrows to change the measurements
F
displayed (
6.1.3).
— Enter the position of the balancing weights
displayed in grey to change the ALU mode.
— GO back to the INTRO SCREEN to change the
F
Type of Vehicle (
6.1.1).
At the end of the process the electronic control unit
acquires the new settings, processes and displays the
corrected measurement values in the BALANCING
screen without having to launch another run.
Note:
Entry of a new datum via manual setting involves
exit from any preselected Alu P mode. The machine
will present the nominal Alu corresponding to the
Alu P set before.
The Auto-Stop -ASS- system (only Power Clamp
model) is no longer active and the application of the
counterweights must be performed by following the
indications in chapter 7.0.1.2.
