Important safeguards/notices for use in the medical
environments
1. All the equipments connected to this unit shall be
certified according to Standard IEC601-1, IEC950,
IEC65 or other IEC/ISO Standards applicable to the
equipments.
2. When this unit is used together with other equipment in
the patient area*, the equipment shall be either powered
by an isolation transformer or connected via an
additional protective earth terminal to system ground
unless it is certified according to Standard IEC601-1
and IEC601-1-1.

Features

Three color systems available
The monitor can display PAL, NTSC
signals. The appropriate color system is selected automati-
cally.
* A signal of NTSC is used for playing back NTSC recorded

video cassettes with a video tape recorder/player especially
designed for use with this system.
Fine Pitch Trinitron picture tube
The Super Fine Pitch Trinitron picture tube provides a high
resolution picture. Horizontal resolution is more than 450 TV
lines at the center of the picture.
Y/C input connector
The video signal, split into the chrominance signal (C) and
the luminance signal (Y), can be input through this
connector, eliminating the interference between the two
signals, which tends to occur in a composite video signal,
assuring video quality.
Beam current feedback circuit
The built-in beam current feedback circuit assures stable
white balance.

3. The leakage current could increase when connected to
other equipment.

the rear panel input and output circuitry and the patient

5. Model PVM-9043MD is a video monitor intended for use
in a medical environment to display video pictures from
cameras or other video system.
Comb filter
When NTSC video signals are received, a comb filter
activates to increase the resolution, resulting in fine picture
detail without color spill or color noise.
Automatic termination
The Y/C and VIDEO IN connectors are terminated at
75 ohms inside, when no cable is connected to the loop-
through output connectors. When a cable is connected to an
output connector, the 75-ohm termination is automatically
released.
EIA standard 19-inch rack mounting
By using an MB-507 mounting bracket (not supplied), the
monitor can be mounted in an EIA standard 19-inch rack.
