Individuals who have not read the instruction manual and
are not familiarized with how to operate the circular saw
must not use it.
To ensure that you work with the power tool safely, you
should consider a few precautions and procedures before
start-up:
▪ Inspect the power tool before each use. Check that the
blades are installed correctly and in good condition. In
case there is excessive damage or wear, replace them;
▪ Check that all bolts are properly screwed. Regular
inspection is important to ensure the safety and
performance of the power tool;
▪ After the blades' assembly and before using the power
tool, test it at full speed with no load for a while. Check
for existing misalignment on the blade or any other
condition that may affect the power tool operation.
Check that all moving parts rotate smoothly, without
abnormal noises;
▪ Make sure that the blade rotates in the direction
indicated on the arrow of the blade;
▪ Check that the safety devices are in perfect condition
and work properly. Never use the power tool if the safety
devices are missing, inhibited, damaged or worn out;
▪ If the ON/OFF switch is damaged or does not allow the
operation of the tool to be controlled, it must be repaired
or replaced in order to prevent any unintentional start.
Make all adjustments and work necessary for the correct
assembly of the power tool if you have any questions or
difficulties, contact your official dealer.
Keep third parties away from the power tool's area of
operation. Never work while animals or people,
especially children, are in the danger zone.
Keep the work area clean, organized and well lit (250 to 300
lux), thus decreasing the risk of accidents.
Always wear personal protective equipment and clothing.
Wearing a visor or goggles, dust mask, hearing protection,
anti-slip safety shoes, long-sleeved clothing, gloves and
helmet properly reduces the risk of injury.
Each person entering the work area must wear personal
protective equipment. Fragments may be thrown out while
the machine is running and cause injury outside the direct
work area.
Clothing worn during the machine operation must be
adequate, tight and closed, for example, a work boiler suit.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothing
and gloves away from rotating parts.
The following precautions and procedures should also be
followed to avoid accidents:
▪ The blade speed must be at least equal to the maximum
speed stated in the technical data of the circular saw;
▪ When operating the circular saw, adopt a stable position
and always keep your balance. Hold the machine firmly
to
ensure
continuous
unexpected situations, such as kickback;
▪ Kickback is a sudden reaction that occurs when the
blade gets jammed, is squeezed or is misaligned. The
kickback forces the circular saw to rotate in the opposite
direction of the blade, towards the user.
