▪ The lower blade guard is a safety device that reduces the
risk of serious injury. Never operate the circular saw if the
lower guard is missing, damaged or incorrectly fitted:
- The guard must be totally closed before you start
cutting;
- The guard should move freely in both directions and
not touch the blade or any other parts at all cutting
angles and depths;
- Check the functioning of the protection spring. If the
guard and spring do not function properly, they must be
repaired before use. The lower guard may work slowly
due to damaged parts, sticky residues or build-up of
debris;
- Never clamp or tighten the lower guard in the open
position;
- The lower guard should only be retracted manually for
special cuts, such as "deep cuts" and "mixed cuts". Lift
the lower guard by the retracting lever, and as soon as
the blade has penetrated the workpiece, the lower guard
can be released. For all other cuts, the lower guard
should move freely;
- Always ensure that the lower guard is completely
covering the blade before placing the circular saw on the
workbench or floor;
▪ Do not apply too much pressure on the circular saw
against the work piece/object. If the speed drops
abruptly, you must reduce immediately;
▪ Never start the circular saw when the blade is touching
the workpiece. You should only touch the blade against
the workpiece after reaching the maximum rotation
speed;
▪ When resuming the cutting operation, align the blade on
the existing cut and ensure that the blade teeth are not
touching the workpiece and the blade reaches maximum
speed. If the blade is stuck, the workpiece may move
forward or backward when the blade starts to rotate;
▪ Do not use abrasive cut-off wheels;
▪ Do not use water or lubricant during sharpening.
1. Remove the battery;
2. Pull the lower guard retracting lever (5) to the fully open
position;
3. Release the lever and it should return to the fully closed
position.
The cutting depth can be adjusted on the depth guide scale
between 0 and 48 mm.
1. Loosen the cutting depth scale fixing bolt;
2. Slide the base plate (2) upwards or downwards to select
the appropriate depth for the cut to be performed;
3. Tighten the bolt. The marking on the bolt indicates the
chosen depth.
The cutting angle can be set on the angle scale between 0°
and 45°.
1. Loosen the bolt (13) of the cutting angle scale (12);
2. Adjust the angle (0° - 45°) according to the desired tilt:
0°- Vertical cut;
45° - Miter cut;
3. Tighten the bolt.
The parallel guide is used to ensure that a cut is performed
in parallel to the end of the workpiece.
1. Loosen the parallel guide fixing bolt (14);
2. Adjust the guide to the required cutting width. Press the
"ON/OFF" switch lock/unlock button (9) and confirm that
the value read on the scale on the parallel guide ruler is
the desired value;
3. Tighten the bolt.
