An adaptation kit (1557395) is available on demand for Alegio beds built before November 2009.
5. Set up and installation on Invacare® Beds only

Should the packaging be damaged upon receipt, each side rail must be examined for
visible defects. In the event of any damage, please contact Invacare
Assembly instructions
The siderails are provided completely ready to be used and installed on the bed.
No tool is necessary to its installation.
1. The installation on the bed must be done with the siderail in locked position.
2. Place both jaws of the siderail on the frame of the bed, by positioning the locking button in footboard.
The jaw opposite straddling the lifting pole support to assure a lower space of 60mm (< 60mm) between
the siderail and the bed end head (see illustration A below).
3. For beds equipped with bed ends with fast locking, it is beforehand necessary to pull and turn ¼ of tour
the trigger, previously positioned the jaw at the head of bed under the trigger and relocks it after.
(see illustration B below).
4. Once jaws positioned well on the frame of bed, fix the siderail by using both knobs and tightened them
firmly.
5. Make some manipulations to verify the smooth running (folding / unfolding, locking / unbolting,
tightening ...).

Warning: not tighten and\or an insufficient tightening can entail a risk of fall of the siderail
and\or of the patient.
Warning: make sure of its perfect locking by applying a longitudinal alternate movement
in the siderail itself and verify that the locking pin is positioned well in its housing.
