required.
A 120/240volt U.S.electricdryer mustbe convertedif it is to operateon a 120/208volt electricalsystem.
A heatingelementconversionkit is available(seeAccessories).
If a powercord is used, the cord shouldbe pluggedinto a 30 amperereceptacle.
The powercord is NOTprovidedwith U.S.electricmodeldryers.
IMPORTANT:Whenpermittedby local codes,the dryer electricalsupply may be connectedby meansof a
new powersupplycord kit, markedfor usewith clothesdryer,that is U.L.listed,rated at 120/240volts
minimum,30 ampereswith three No.10 copperwire conductorsterminatedwith closed loopterminals,open-
end spadelugs with turnedup endsor with tinned leads.
Do not reusea powersupplycordfrom an old dryer. The powercord electricsupplywiring mustbe retained
at the dryer cabinetwith a suitableUL listedstrain relief.
If the dryer is to be installedin a mobilehomeor an areawhere local codesdo not permitgroundingthrough
neutral,only a 4 conductorpower cord,rated andterminatedas above,maybe used.

All Canadianmodelsare shippedwith the powercord attached. The power cordshouldbe pluggedinto a
