HOW TO ADJUST THE HANDLE
The height of the lawn mower handle can be adjusted to
either of two positions for operator comfort.
1. Loosen the lower handle knobs (A, Figure 7) at the left
and right handle brackets.

2. Adjust the handle to the desired position.
3. Tighten the lower handle knobs securely.
HOW TO ADJUST THE CUTTING HEIGHT
A single-point height adjustment lever is located above the
right rear wheel. Changing the position of the lever will raise
or lower the mower housing for different cutting heights.
Shut off the engine and wait for the blade to come to
a complete stop before changing the position of the
height adjuster lever.
1. Pull the lever (B, Figure 8) away from the locking tab.
2. Move the lever forward or backward until the mower
housing is at the desired height.
3. Release the lever and make sure it engages the locking
tab.

NOTICE: To avoid damage to the blade or engine, do not
use the lowest cutting height in areas where rocks, tree
roots, or other embedded obstructions are present.

WARNING
HOW TO INSTALL AND REMOVE THE GRASS
CATCHER
Do not operate the lawn mower unless the mulching
plug or grass catcher is installed.
1. Remove the mulching plug, if installed.
2. To install the grass catcher, raise the door (A, Figure 9)
on the rear of the mower housing.
3. Fit the hooks (B) on each side of the grass catcher
frame into the slots in the door.

4. Lower the door over the grass catcher to secure it in
place.
5. To remove the grass catcher, grasp the frame handle
(C) and the rear edge of the bag, and then carefully lift it
away from the door.
The grass catcher will be heavy when filled with clippings.
To avoid unnecessary wear, do not drag it across the
ground when emptying.
