Putting the unit into standby
There might be noise from the speakers if the unit is turned off sud-
denly. Follow the steps below to put the unit into standby.

If a connected device is playing back, stop
playback.
o When using this unit as a preamp, turn off the power ampli-
fier first.

Press the INPUT knob on the unit until "OFF"
appears on the display to activate standby
mode.
o The remote control STANDBY button can also be used to put
the unit in standby.

Turn off the connected input source devices.
Muting the output
Press the MUTE button to temporarily mute the sound. Press it again
to restore the volume setting.
o When muted, "MUTE" blinks on the screen.
o You can also restore the sound by turning the VOLUME knob or by
pressing the VOLUME (+/−) buttons.
o The VOLUME knob on the unit can also be pressed to mute the
sound.
Opening the control cover
Press the open button to open the control cover.
