Danger of burns!
When touching the machine at
wheel fork (2), ensure that you
maintain a safe distance from the
engine and from the silencer – parts
of the engine become hot following
prolonged use.

1 Front wheel fixed:
The front wheel can be fixed for mowing on
slopes and to help hold a straight line
when mowing long strips.
● Position the front wheel as shown
(forward driving position). It must point
towards the housing.
● Press adjusting pin (3) to the "Front
wheel fixed" position and ensure that it
engages fully.
2 Adjusting cutting height:
Five cutting heights can be set at adjusting
element (1).

Risk of injury!
Do not reach under the front
wheel cutting height adjustment
with the hands or fingers.
Never put your hands or feet
between the housing and ground.
● Press release lever (4) in the direction
of the arrow and hold. Hold wheel
fork (2) upwards with the hand so that
the lawn mower cannot drop to the
lowest cutting level under its own
weight.
● Move adjusting pin (3) to the "Adjusting
cutting height" position (=centre
position).
● Set the cutting height. (
● Release release lever (4).
3 Front wheel swivels through 360°:
For high manoeuvrability when mowing
around bushes and trees, the front wheel
can be adjusted so that it can turn freely
through 360°.
● Press adjusting pin (3) to the "Front
wheel swivels through 360°" position
and ensure that it engages fully.
8.4 Adjusting the cutting height
Risk of injury!
When adjusting the cutting height,
make sure that the housing is
always parallel to the ground – this
also achieves optimal mowing
results.
The machine has two cutting height
adjustments:
1. Rear wheel cutting height
adjustment (

adjustment (
Five different cutting heights can be set.
Level 1 = 25 mm
Level 5 = 80 mm
Cutting levels 2 to 4 are standard,
especially when using the machine as a
mulching mower. (
VIKING recommends setting the required
cutting height at the rear wheel first and
then adjusting the cutting height at the
front wheel. The cutting height is set
correctly when the housing is parallel with
the ground.

8.5 Setting the rear wheel cutting
height adjustment
● First pull rear wheel cutting
height adjustment lever (1) towards the
wheel and hold.
● Select the required cutting height
(cutting levels 1 to 5 as shown) and
allow the lever to engage again.
