TO TEST-DRIVE THE TRACTOR
1. While still seated on the tractor, make sure it is on (LCD screen
is illuminated) and (if engaged) disengage the parking brake
by fully depressing the parking-brake pedal until the parking-
brake lock lever drops (Fig. 7d).
2. The tractor status indicator will shine green, which means the
tractor is ready to drive. If not, fully depress the parking-brake
pedal and release it to make the tractor status indicator shine
green (Fig. 7d).
3. Press the driving speed adjustment button several times to set
the driving speed to the slowest available (Fig. 8d).
4. Depress the accelerator pedal to drive the tractor (Fig. 8e).
To drive forward: push the direction control lever forward in
the "D" direction.
To drive in reverse: pull the direction control lever backward
in the "R" direction.
5. While the tractor is moving, slowly raise yourself off of the
seat. The driving system should stop the tractor.
NOTICE: If the driving system fails to stop when the operator is
off of the seat:
a. Release the accelerator pedal to stop the tractor.
b. With the parking-brake lock lever pulled up, fully depress
the parking-brake pedal to engage the parking brake.
c. Disconnect the safety key and battery packs.
d. Lift the back of the seat and verify that the socket and the
plug are properly connected. Refer to step 4 in chapter
"INSTALLING THE SEAT".
If the cause cannot be determined after confirming the plug and socket are properly connected, contact your EGO
customer service center immediately.
WARNING: DO NOT operate the tractor until the safety interlock system has been repaired by a qualified service
technician.
