Install the 8394 sensor in a Tri-Clover Tri-Clamp tee: 1.5 inch diameter minimum (A) or 2-inch
diameter minimum (B) at a 90° angle. All of the Tri-Clamp tees are in compliance with the 3A
standards for clean-in-place (CIP).
3.3.2 Installation in a flow chamber
Refer to the installation examples in
The recommended sample flow rate through a flow chamber is 330 mL/minute (20 L/hour) with
homogeneous sample flow. The minimum sample flow rate through a flow chamber is 100 mL/minute
(6 L/hour).
Make sure that there are no leaks at the NPT fittings of the flow chamber. Add waterproof material to
the male thread. Refer to
Note: The flow chambers do not hold air bubbles. Air bubbles on the surface of the sensor decrease the active
surface and increases the cell constant, which results in an unusually low conductivity measurement.
