Definitions: Safety Alert Symbols and Words
This instruction manual uses the following safety alert
symbols and words to alert you to hazardous situations and
your risk of personal injury or property damage.

DANGER: Indicates an imminently hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or
serious injury.

WARNING: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, could result in death or
serious injury.

CAUTION: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, may result in minor or
moderate injury.

(Used without word) Indicates a safety
related message.
NOTICE: Indicates a practice not related to
personal injury which, if not avoided, may result in
property damage.
Oven Warnings:

WARNING: Burn hazard. Do not touch hot tray, fire,
or embers. Serious injury may occur.

WARNING: Burn hazard. Do not touch metal surfaces
while the pizza oven is hot. Serious injury may occur.

WARNING: Burn hazard. Only use designated
handles/knobs when unit is hot.

WARNING: Do not touch hot stone if it becomes off
center while rotating. Use pizza peel to adjust.

WARNING: Never use without stone in place.
Only use outside in an open‑air environment and away
from structures.
Do not use on boats.
Only use when properly and fully assembled
Keep away from children, pets, and flammable items.
Do not move, adjust, clean, or store while hot.
Do not use in high winds or extreme weather conditions.
Metal surfaces and stone can be hot. Allow to cool
before touching.
Do not place any item on or near oven while it is hot
Do not leave oven unattended.
Do not place oven on any surface while legs are closed.
Do not place oven on BLACK+DECKER‑approved stand
while legs are closed.
It is recommended to use BLACK+DECKER‑approved stand.
Do not reach over chimney while in use.
Do not place hot oven in storage bag.
It is recommended to use only BLACK+DECKER‑approved
accessories. Refer to Pizza Oven Accessories section.

Do not remove or disassemble chimney and hopper until
they and oven are fully cooled.
Flames can blow outside the metal enclosure from the:

Left side where the fire is

Oven door when it is open

Top of the chimney
Top of the pellet hopper

It is recommended to use BLACK+DECKER‑approved
ash bucket.
Do not dispose of ash until it is fully cooled. Refer to the Ash
Disposal section to dispose of ash correctly and safely.
Use only recommended fuel sources. Refer to the
Recommended Fuel Sources section.
Refer to Storage and Transportation section for
instructions to transport unit correctly and safely.
Refer to the Using Different Fuel Sources section for
instructions to start the oven correctly and safely.
If the oven exceeds the designed maximum temperature
of 950°F (500°C), stop adding fuel to allow oven to slowly
cool down.
Use only peels that are metal or wood material.
It is recommended to use BLACK+DECKER‑approved
metal or wood peel.
Never reach hand into oven while hot.
Be aware of hot surfaces while inserting pizza.
Use heat‑resistant gloves while inserting wood and charcoal.
Be aware of sharp edges on oven during setup, assembly,
and disassembly.
Be aware of sharp edges inside oven.
Be aware of sharp edges on fuel drawer.
Do not place oven on its back, front, or side.
Do not turn oven upside down.
Do not lift oven by door handle.
Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood,
or shellfish may increase your risk of foodborne illness,
especially if you have certain medical conditions.
Inspect oven regularly and do not use if any part is
broken or not functioning correctly
Assembly / Disassembly
Legs (Fig. B)

To unfold legs
, pull them down and away from the
pizza oven.
To fold legs, rotate them in toward the center of the oven.
Chimney (Fig. C)
1. Line up the chimney notches
with the chimney nubs
2. Slide the bottom chimney into the chimney opening, and
twist the bottom chimney counterclockwise to secure
into place.

while the pizza oven is in use.
