c.: Left-hand tailgate light:
Connect the four remaining, equally long in the left-hand side of the tailgate as follows:
Insert the vehicle cable grey-black on the appropriate blue connector plug on left-hand drive

vehicles or green connector plug on right-hand drive vehicles into chamber 1 and then click it
into place. Cut through this cable approx. 10cm before the connector plug and strip the 2x
grey-black and 1x yellow cable ends (from the direction of left outside) to approx. 5mm.
Connect the three thus created grey-black and yellow cable ends with a butt connector
000 979 941 and a crimping tool so that they are able to conduct electricity and seal the butt
connector with a hot air gun.
Insert the vehicle crimp contact on the brown cable into chamber 3 and then click it into

place.
Insert the vehicle crimp contact on the blue cable into chamber 4 and then click it into place.

Insert the vehicle crimp contact on the black-blue cable into chamber 5 and then click it into

place. Cut through this cable approx. 10cm before the connector plug and strip the 2x black-
blue and 1x black cable ends of the 4-wire wiring harness to approx. 5mm. Connect the three
thus created black-blue and black cable ends with a butt connector 000 979 941 and a
crimping tool so that they are able to conduct electricity and seal the butt connector with a hot
air gun.
Only for left-hand drive vehicles:
Insert the vehicle crimp contact on the grey-white cable into chamber 6 and then click it into

place.
Insert the vehicle crimp contact on the grey cable into chamber 7 and then click it into place.

Only for right-hand drive vehicles:
Insert the crimp contact on the grey cable into chamber 6 and then click it into place.

Insert the vehicle crimp contact on the black-blue cable into chamber 7 and then click it into

place.
Chambers 2 and 8 remain unused.
d.: Right-hand tailgate light:
Insert the vehicle grey-red cable into chamber 1 of the appropriate blue connector plug on

left-hand drive vehicles or green connector plug on right-hand drive vehicles and then click it
into place. Cut through this cable approx. 10cm before the connector plug and strip the 2x
grey-red and 1x green cable ends of the 1-wire wiring harness (from the direction of right
outside) to approx. 5mm. Connect the three thus created grey-red and green cable ends with
a butt connector 000 979 941 and a crimping tool so that they are able to conduct electricity
and seal the butt connector with a hot air gun.
Route the three joined cable ends blue, grey and black of the 4-wire wiring harness along the
existing cables in the tailgate to the right-hand tailgate light.
Insert the vehicle crimp contact on the brown cable on the connector plug into chamber 3 and

then click it into place.
Insert the crimp contact on the blue cable on the connector plug into chamber 4 and then click

it into place.
Insert the crimp contact on the black cable on the connector plug into chamber 5 and then

click it into place.
Only for left-hand drive vehicles:
Insert the crimp contact on the grey cable on the connector plug into chamber 6 and then

click it into place.
Insert the vehicle crimp contact on the black-blue cable on the connector plug into chamber 7

and then click it into place.
