⚠ SAFETY NOTICES
• Cut the electricity supply before performing any work on the appliance.
This appliance can be used by children aged under 8, people with a physical, sensory, or
mental disability, or people lacking the relevant experience or knowledge only if they are
correctly supervised or if instructions relating to the completely safe use of the appliance
have been given to them and the incurred risks have been understood. Children must not
play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance to be carried out by the user must not
be performed by unsupervised children.
• Packaging elements must be removed from the reach of children, since they constitute
sources of danger.
• Installation, commissioning, and repair and maintenance work is allowed to be carried out
only by a qualified professional in accordance with applicable national regulations and the
requirements of the local authority and entity in charge of public health where applicable.
All of the stipulations relating to the water heater must be observed.
• The appliance should never be turned on when empty, since this could damage the
electrical components.
➢ Fill the water heater by opening the inlet valve of the safety assembly.
➢ Turn on a hot tap to enable the discharge of a cushion of air formed in the water heater.
➢ Once water flows out of the hot water tap, turn it off.
➢ Check the leak-tightness of the baseplate seal and the connections. Do this as required.
➢ Retighten the baseplate screws bolts (18 to 20 Nm, torque wrench) or connection screw
bolts.
• The water heater must be mounted with a safety assembly in accordance with applicable
national and European regulations (EN 1487) with a pressure of 7 bar (0.7 Mpa) and
connected to a cold water pipe. The safety assembly must be mounted as close as
possible to the cold water inlet of the water heater in a frost-free place. The flow of water
must never by impeded by an accessory of any kind. If, for technical reasons, the safety
assembly cannot be installed right next to the cold water inlet (max. 50 cm), the installed
connection must be performed using a temperature-resistant material that can withstand
pressures higher than 7 bars.
The drainage outlet of the safety assembly must never be obstructed and must be
connected to a vertical venting pipe with a diameter at least equal to the connection piping
of the appliance via an intermediate tundish with an air gap of min. 20 mm to the open air.
This piping must be installed in a non-frost atmosphere and must slope downwards.
Always use new connection pipes for the connection to the water supply.
The service pressure is indicated on the water heater identification data plate.
• Following the expansion of the water during a heating period, slow dripping at the safety
assembly outlet is normal (up to 3% of the rated capacity). We recommend that you refer to
the instructions for your safety assembly. An expansion vessel can be installed to prevent
leakage.
