The design of the appliance allows for a slight deviation between the pipes. PVC pipe glue (not supplied)
should be used.
The appliance is designed to be fitted in a pool with a 22 cm wall. If the dimensions are smaller, the
o
pipes will need cutting to fit the new dimensions.
CONNECTING ELECTRICAL ELEMENTS
Check that the ground connection of the installation is correct.
The electrical installation should be done by someone qualified in working with electrical equipment. This
equipment is not designed for those with a physical, sensory or mental handicap or people lacking in experience,
unless done under supervision or with instructions of use from a person in charge of safety.
The equipment should be connected to a voltage of 230 V alternating current and 50 Hz power point, with earth
connection, protected by a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding
30 mA.
It is essential that you use a multiple disconnection device with a space of at least 3 mm between surfaces to
disconnect the filter from the power supply.
Insert the power cord (not supplied) through the back packing gland of the filtration box. The use of H07-RNF
cable with three wires and 1.5 mm
to the control panel. Open the control panel, pass the cable through the packing gland marked 230 V and
secure the three terminals to the strips identified with the labels N, L and T (grounding), as indicated in (fig. 14)
(p. 73).
Insert the cable from the front module (lamp cable) through the front packing gland of the filtration box (p. 71)
(position 14, fig. 3) and connect it to the control panel strip marked 12 V designed for this purpose (fig. 12)
(p.72).
VERY IMPORTANT: when connecting the electricity supply, make sure that the light is not switched on
without being submerged in water. If this does occur, turn it off immediately using the pneumatic switch
(fig. 13) (p. 73).
Fill the cavities around the box with sand, compacting the sand to ground level.
4. START-UP
The pump should not be started up without having been primed.
The filtration operation should not be started up if the water level does not cover part of the hinged cover of
the skimmer.
The underwater light should never be switched on if it is not submerged in the water.
To start-up the filtering equipment, follow these steps:
Ensure that the suction valve is closed (fig. 17, position A).
Loosen all the three-part connections of the selector valve (fig.15) (p. 73).
Remove the selector valve and the seal, taking care not to damage the seal.
Carefully fill halfway with water.
Load the filter with sand: for maximum performance of the filter, it is recommended that sand with a grain size of
between 0.4 and 0.8 mm is used, reaching a height of approximately 2/3 of the filter.
Cover the D.50 pipes with a bag and pour in the previously described sand contents, making sure not to
damage the collectors.
Place the selector valve and the corresponding seal, having first cleaned the closure area of sand and residues.
Ensure that the water level of the swimming pool is sufficient to cover half the hinged cover of the skimmer (fig.
5) (p.71).
The pump should never be allowed to operate without water, otherwise the mechanical seal could be damaged
causing water to leak.
Check that all of the connections of the installation are correct and well secured.
Before starting-up the equipment for the first time, the pump should be primed. To do this, remove the cover
from the pre-filter and fill the pre-filter with water (fig. 16) (p. 73). Close the pre-filter cover.
2
section is recommended. Pass the cable around the edge of the equipment
