VERY IMPORTANT
Never switch on the underwater light if it is not submerged in water, otherwise the lamp may become seriously
damaged.
6. MAINTENANCE
•
It is essential that contact is avoided with the moving parts of the equipment, including accidental
contact.
•
Wait until the machine has come to a complete stop before carrying out any procedures on the
equipment.
•
Before carrying out any electrical or mechanical maintenance work, ensure that the machine has been
disconnected from the electricity supply and that the starters are blocked.
•
Make sure that the ground is dry before touching electrical equipment.
•
Do not handle the equipment whilst you have wet feet.
WASHING THE FILTER
The filter should be washed when the flow is seen to fall off. To wash the filter, proceed as indicated:
•
Place the pump switch in the OFF position (disconnection) (fig. 21) (p. 74).
•
Place the selector valve in the "backwash" position.
•
Connect the pump for two or three minutes. It is recommended that the viewer of the selector valve is monitored
in order to determine the precise duration.
•
After the washing operation, stop the pump by placing the pump switch in the OFF position (disconnection) (fig.
21) (p. 74).
CLEANING THE SKIMMER BASKET
The skimmer basket accumulates leaves and other particles floating in the water. The basket should be cleaned
from time to time so that it does not become blocked. To remove the basket, proceed as follows:
•
Place the pump switch in the OFF position (disconnection) (fig. 21) (p. 74).
•
Open the access cover to the front module skimmer (fig. 16) (p. 73).
•
Take the handle of the basket and turn it until it can be removed vertically (fig. 25) (p. 75).
•
Once leaves and other particles have been cleaned from the basket, it should be put back into position. To
secure it correctly, turn the basket inside its cavity until it locks and cannot be pulled out vertically.
CLEANING THE PRE-FILTER OF THE PUMP
It is advisable that the condition of the pre-filter of the pump is checked periodically to ensure that it does not
become blocked. If there is accumulated dirt, the unit must be opened and cleaned. To clean the pre-filter, proceed
as follows:
•
Place the pump switch in the OFF position (disconnection) (fig. 21) (p. 74).
•
Turn off the pump's suction valve (fig. 17) (p. 73).
•
Remove the cover, and take out the pre-filter basket for cleaning. (fig. 16) (p. 73).
•
Place the basket back in its position. Put the cover seal correctly into place to close it, ensuring that the valve
seat is clean.
•
Turn on the pump's suction valve.
MAINTENANCE OF THE LIGHT
CAUTION: before handling the light, ensure that NO voltage is connected. To do this, disconnect the equipment
from the electrical supply.
