4.4.3 Setting up a user-defined buffer group
a) Press and hold
b) Use
c) Press READ to confirm the selection.
The meter displays your current temperature setting and the unit and frame blink (default tem-
per a ture is 25 °C).
d) Use
e) Press READ to store the value and continue.
After setting the temperature value, the meter displays the current setting of the first calibration
buffer (default value 4.00).
f)
Use
g) Press READ to store the value and continue.
h) Press CAL to set the next calibration buffer.
The procedure is the same as for the first point. Up to three user-defined calibration buffers can
be set.
Press READ to exit when the settings have been completed.

Notes
When using a user-defined buffer group in the calibration, the screen will display the buffer value you
set. Make sure that you use the correct buffer.
For user-defined buffers, there is no buffer table programmed in the meter. Therefore, keep the buffer
tem per a ture at the set value. When using a temperature probe, if the temperature measured differs by
more than 1 °C from the set value, Err 3 appears.
4.4.4 Selecting a conductivity standard
When using the meter, you have to select a conductivity standard for calibration.
a) Press and hold
The pH setting appears.
b) Press READ to confirm the pH buffers.
The display changes to conductivity standard selection.
c) Use
d) When the desired standard blinks, press READ to confirm the selection.
The following three predefined standards are available:
84 µS/cm
1413 µS/cm
12.88 mS/cm
Tables for automatic temperature compensation are programmed in the meter for each standard (see
"Appen dix").
4.4.5 Running a one-point calibration (pH or conductivity)
a) Press MODE to select the measurement mode (pH or conductivity, depending which electrode you
want to calibrate).
b) Place the electrode in a calibration buffer/standard and press CAL.
Cal 1 appears on the display for pH; Cal appears on the display for conductivity.
c) The meter endpoints according to the pre-selected endpoint mode after the signal has stabilized or
after pressing READ.
