Technical description
The smallest recommended measuring span of the pressure transmitter is one-fifth of
the maximum measurement range so as to obtain the best possible measuring accu-
racy on the basis of the technical data.
Measuring spans up to one tenth of the maximum measurement range are also
possible but here fairly large measurement errors may be expected (temperature sen-
sitivity and output signal ripple).
Procedure:
Setting the start of the measurement range (mode 5)
Set the start of the measurement range you want (in the range between 0% and 100%
of the maximum measurement range) in the usual way, confirm by pressing the M but-
ton, and the unit will go to the next mode (mode 6).
Setting the end of the measurement range (mode 6)
•
Set the end of the measurement range you want (in the range between 0% and
100% of the maximum measurement range), confirm by pressing the M button,
and the unit will go to the next mode (mode 7).
Rising characteristic:
The start of the measurement range must be lower than the end of the measure-
ment range.
Falling characteristic:
The start of the measurement range must be higher than the end of the measure-
ment range. Here the smallest measurement span = Abs (end of measurement
– start of measurement) should not fall below one fifth of the maximum measure-
ment range if the best measurement results are to be obtained
•
The smallest measurement span which can be set may be one tenth of the max-
imum measurement range. Note 'Setting the pressure measurement range', see
setting modes 5 and 6.
Setting the limit values (modes 7 and 8)
Upward violations of the limits are signaled by two LEDs above the LCD display. The
green LED indicates that the pressure to be measured is between the two limits. The
red LED indicates that the pressure is outside the limit.
Upward violation of a limit is indicated on the LCD by the
violation of a limit by the
