Using your TV
Here are some tips as to how to
install your set
You've probably already chosen a
place for your new NORDMENDE
COLOUR TV. We would like to give
you a few tips which you should take
into consideration when you are
installing your set.
— Don't place the set beside a radia-
tor or on top of one.
—
Heat is generated inside the sets
and of course it has to get out.
Therefore the ventilation vents
must not under any circumstances
be covered with a cloth or similar.
—
If you want to integrate your set
into a wall unit you must leave at
least 8cm at the sides and above
the set. If you don't have enough
space we recommend
that you
take out the back of the wall unit
behind the set, so that the heat
can disperse.
—
One last tip. Water and electronics
don't mix. Please don't put flowers
on top of your TV set. It would be a
pity if water got into the set. The
water could cause damage and
short circuits.
Connecting up your set
To operate, piug mains plug into sock-
et (220
V AC) and the antenna plug
into antenna socket (28) on rear of
set.
Switching on and off
To switch on press the mains switch
(24). All other functions can be con-
trolled via the remote control. If there
is only the dot (25) on the display that
means the set is on stand-by and can
be switched on by pressing one of the
buttons «1... 10».
The set is switched off by pressing
button ¢ .
Some tips
— We recommend switching off the
set using the mains switch (24)
after an evening's viewing or if you
are going to be away for a longer
time.
;
~— The set switches off automatically
after transmission has finished if no
picture has been received for 10
minutes.
N
Child-lock
The child-lock prevents your set from
being used if you don't want it to be.
To operate child-lock press & on
. remote control until the dot (25)
starts blinking on the display. Then put
the remote control out of the chil-
dren's reach. It's now impossible to
switch on the TV with the button «P+»
or «P—» on the set (pict. 4). If you
want to use the set again yourself just
switch on with the remote control as
usual. By doing this you switch off the
child-lock again.
