Add on facilities
Your set can be retrofitted if desired
for the following:
Teletext (already fitted in some
models),
reception of. French and American
stations (SECAM L. and NTSC),
direct satellite reception.
lf you-are interested your dealer will
be happy to advise you.
Cleaning the screen
On the screen of your TV there is a
special anti-reflection layer. This pre-
vents, to a large extent, light falling on
the screen from reflecting which
would otherwise interfere with the TV
picture. Therefore scouring powder
should on no account be used to
clean it. You can get a suitable clean-
ing fluid from your dealer.
Battery replacement
If the range of the remote control
decreases in the course of time then
that usually means that the battery is
empty. To replace the battery, open
the flap of the battery compartment
on the back of the remote control.
Operation guide
In case you don't want to read
through everything again if you want
to do something, we've thought up an
operation guide, where you can see
the most important functions at a
glance.
Simply peel the abridged instructions
off the enclosed sticker and stick
them onto the back of the remote
control.
Faults
Some faults are quite harmless and
can be rectified by you yourself. For
example if no picture appears after
you have switched on, you can check
whether the mains plug is in properly.
\f the picture is suddenly wobbly per-
haps the aerial isn't connected. It can
become dislodged when you are
cleaning.
{f there is no picture, please check the
other stations.
However, if the picture has a horizon-
tal white line or if you notice an acrid
smell or smoke emission, pull out the
plug immediately and see your dealer.
