MATRIX function is activated.
In music source, a good deal of indirect sound (reflected wave
component)
is included
other than the direct sound
signals.
When

function
is activated, direct wave com-
ponents
(in-phase
components)
are
decreased
and a
lively
sound can be reproduced, full of on-the-scene feeling.
DELAY:
Press to apply the delay signal output from the SUB OUTPUT
terminals.
When listening to live music such as in a concert
hall, indirect
sound reflected off the walls or ceiling of the hall is also heard
other than the direct sound
from the instruments
played by
the musicians.
In this way, the actual music signal consists of the direct sound
'components
that come
directly into the ears and the indirect
'sound components such as reflections or reverberations.
The
DELAY
circuit produced these reverberations electrically.
When the DELAY
circuit is activated, the depth of the sound
can
be reproduced
with the on-the-spot
feeling of theater or
concert hall.
TIME DIF:

TIME
DIFFERENCE
BETWEEN
LEFT
AND
RIGHT
CHANNELS:
For improving the effect of DELAY
circuit, the delay time of
right channel
is set at 5 msec. later than the delay time of left
channel
in this unit. Since the DELAY
TIME display shows
only the left channe} delay time, the right channel delay time
is 5 msec, less than the displayed value.
To change the difference of delay time between
the left and
right
channels,
keep
pressing
the
UP/DOWN
switch
while
pressing the TIME

be set within a margin of +15 msee. When
the
