3.3) Compression - locked mode
Via the menu (section 5) it is possible to set the compression mode which allows
the connector to be held in the head without compressing it.
This makes it easier to insert the conductor fully into the connector and to
check for correct positioning if necessary (especially for connectors with a
small cross-section).
Procedure:
X Hold the connector against the upper die (1).
X Press the operating button (3) twice in quick succession
(Fig. 5) to start the motor. The ram progressively advances
until the indentor (6) comes into contact with the con-
nector after which the motor automatically stops (STOP)
(Ref. to Fig. 9a).
X Fully insert the conductor into the connector (Fig. 9b).

X Press the operating button again and hold it down until the motor auto-
matically switches off.
X After the motor has automatically switched off, release the operating button (3) to return the
ram to its initial position.
X Remove the compressed connector. Open the head if necessary (Fig. 6).
NOTE: The operator can follow the progress of the procedure in real time on the display.
4. MAINTENANCE STOP
The tool is robust, completely sealed, and requires very little daily maintenance. Compliance with
the following points, should help to maintain its optimum performance.
4.1) Thorough cleaning
Dust, sand and dirt are a danger for any hydraulic device. Every day, after use, the tool must be wiped
with a clean cloth taking care to remove any residue, especially close to pivots and moveable parts.
Do not use hydrocarbons to clean the rubber parts.
