WARRANTY
The general terms of sale of all products manufactured by Calpeda S.p.A. also apply to this motor.
Remember that one of the essential warranty conditions is compliance with all the individual regulations given in the attached documentation as well
as with the best hydraulic, mechanical and electrotechnical regulations, which are of fundamental importance if the electric pump unit is to function
in a regular way.
Faults caused by wear and/or corrosion are not covered by the warranty.
For the warranty to be recognized it is also necessary to have the motor examined beforehand by our technicians or by the technicians from one of
our authorized assistance centers.
Failure to comply with the instructions in the literature supplied with the motor will void all forms of warranty and liability.

CAUSES OF FAULTY OPERATION
Faults
1.
Motor fails to start.
2. Fuses blow when motor
starts.
3.
Overload relay trips a
few seconds after motor
has started to operate.
4.
Overload relay trips after
motor has operated for a
few minutes.
5. The differential relay
trips.
Probable causes
1.1. Selector switch is in OFF position
1.2. Motor is not powered.
1.3. The automatic monitoring device (level switch,
etc.) fails to enable startup.
2.1. Inadequately sized fuses.
2.2. Rotor blocked
2.3. Supply cable or connection damaged (short-
circuited).
3.1. Rated voltage is not reaching all the motor
phases.
3.2. Power consumption unbalanced with higher-
than-rated current on at least one phase
3.3. Abnormal power consumption.
3.4. Wrong relay setting.
3.5. The rotor of the unit is blocked.
3.6. Supply voltage fails to match that of motor.
4.1. Wrong relay setting.
4.2. Power mains voltage too low.
4.3. Power consumption unbalanced, with higher-
than-rated current on the phases.
4.4. Electric pump fails to turn freely owing to friction
in certain points.
4.5. Electric pump fails to turn freely owing to a high
concentration of sand.
4.6. Unit silted up.
4.7. High temperature in electric panel.
5.1 Insufficient electrical insulation.
Remedies
1.1. Select the ON position.
1.2. Check whether fuses have blown or if circuit
protection relay has tripped.
Make sure that terminals are screwed tightly.
Check that unit is being energized.
1.3. Wait until operating conditions have been
restored or check efficiency of automatic
devices.
2.1. Replace with fuses suited to power
consumption of motor.
2.2 Send motor to an authorized assistance center.
2.3. Replace cable or remake connection.
3.1. Make sure that electrical equipment is
undamaged.
Check that terminal box has been tightened
properly.
Check power supply voltage.
3.2. Check phase imbalance as described in
section 5.5 'Electrical connections and relative
information'.
Send motor to an authorized assistance center
if necessary.
3.3. Make sure that star or delta connections are
correct.
3.4. Make sure that ampere rating is correct.
3.5. Send unit to an authorized assistance center.
3.6. Replace motor, or change power supply.
4.1. See 3.4.
4.2. Contact Public Utility Company.
4.3. See 3.2.
4.4. Send unit to an authorized assistance center.
4.5. Reduce flow rate as required with the slide
valve.
4.6. Deepen the well or raise the unit.
4.7. Make sure that relay is ambient temperature
compensated.Protect electric control panel from
sun and heat.
5.1 Using an ohmmeter, check that insulation
resistance is within limits indicated in section
'Electrial connections and relative information'.
Send motor to an authorized assistance center
if necessary.
