Troubleshooting

Turn switch "OFF" and always remove plug from the
power source before trouble shooting.
TROUBLE: SAW WILL NOT START
PROBLEM 1. Power cord is not plugged in.
2. Fuse or circuit breaker tripped.
3. Cord damaged.
4. Burned out switch.
REMEDY
1. Plug saw in.
2. Replace fuse or reset tripped circuit
breaker.
3. Have cord replaced by an Authorized
Skil Service Center or Service Station.
4. Have switch replaced by an Authorized
Skil Service Center or Service Station.
TROUBLE: BLADE DOES NOT COME
PROBLEM 1. Extension cord too light or too long.
2. Low house voltage.
REMEDY 1. Replace with adequate cord.
2. Contact your electric company.
TROUBLE: CANNOT MAKE SQUARE CUT WHEN
PROBLEM 1. Miter Gauge not adjusted properly.
REMEDY 1. See "Operating Adjustments" section
TROUBLE: CUT BINDS, BURNS, STALLS MOTOR
PROBLEM 1. Dull blade with improper tooth set.
2. Warped board.
3. Rip fence not parallel to blade.
REMEDY
1. Replace blade.
2. Make sure concave or hollow side is
facing "DOWN" feed slowly.

serviço Skil autorizada.
4. Substituir o interruptor em um
Centro de serviço Skil autorizado
ou em uma Estação de serviço
Skil autorizada.
AVARÍA: A LÂMINA NÃO ALCANÇA A
SUA VELOCIDADE
PROBLEMA 1. Cordão de extensão demasiado
fino ou demasiado largo.
2. Voltagem da rede baixa.
SOLUÇÃO 1. Substitua com um cordão adequado.
2. Contate a companhía de energia
elétrica.
AVARÍA: NÃO SE PODE FAZER UM
CORTE EM ÂNGULO RETO AO
CORTAR TRANSVERSALMENTE
PROBLEMA 1. Guia angular não ajustada
adequadamente.
SOLUÇÃO 1. Veja a seção "Ajustes de
funcionamento".
AVARÍA: O CORTE PARA, QUEIMA,
DETÉM O MOTOR AO CORTAR
PROBLEMA 1. A lâmina possui insuficiente dentes.
2. Placa entortada.
3. Tope-guía para cortar em linha
reta não paralelo a lâmina.
SOLUÇÃO 1. Troque a lâmina.
2. Asseguresse de que o lado
côncavo ou recesso está orientado
PARA BAIXO e fazer avançar
lentamente.
