MAINTENANCE
CLEANING GUIDE
Note: Unplug the machine before performing any cleaning, maintenance or repair before
proceeding.
Clean the mower thoroughly after each use with a cloth or brush. Do not spray with water.
Caution: Keep hands away from the moving blade.
Caution: Do not use solvents, chemicals or abrasives when cleaning the machine as this may
damage some surfaces.
•
Use gloves or appropriate tools for cleaning. Do not do it with unprotected hands.
•
Clean the machine after each use to ensure better performance and durability.
•
It is recommended that the machine be raised when any checks or maintenance is to be
carried out on the underside of the deck, avoiding tilting the machine so that fuel or oil is not
spilled.
•
Use a slightly damp cloth, water and a mild detergent for cleaning.
•
Use a brush for parts or pieces that are difficult to access.
•
Make sure all vents designed for heat dispersal are clean and free of obstructions or debris.
•
Remove grass clippings, dirt, etc. from the underside of the deck and blades (the wash
function on some models makes this task easier).
•
It is recommended to put a little oil on the blades after each use to prevent blade corrosion.
•
Make sure that all hoppers and covers are clean and free of obstructions.
•
Ensure that spring-loaded terminals, such as the rear cover, spring back into place when
released.
•
Clean and check the collection basket for damage and replace damaged parts as required.
Allow the collection basket to dry completely before storing to prevent it from deteriorating
or rotting.
•
Make sure that all cables, levers, switches, etc. are clean and operate as they should and
without problems.
BLADE MAINTENANCE
•
Periodically remove grass and dirt from the blade.
•
At the beginning of the gardening season, carefully examine the condition of the blade.
•
If the blade is badly dulled, sharpen or replace it.
•
If the blade is damaged or worn, fit a new blade.
Warning: Observe the following precautions:
•
Disconnect the mower from the mains and wait until the blade has stopped rotating before
continuing.
•
Be careful not to cut yourself. Use sturdy gloves or a cloth to grip the blade. Use only the specified
replacement blade.
•
Do not remove the impeller for any reason.
TO REPLACE THE BLADE
•
Turn the mower on its side and place the bushing on the motor shaft.
•
Position the blade in alignment.
•
Fit the blade screw into the holes.
•
