Selecting the operating
mode
Notes
• Operate the device only with a moun-
ted auxiliary handle (20). Hold the im-
plement with both hands by the handle
(9) and auxiliary handle (20) while
working.
• Use clamps or another practical
way to secure and support the
workpiece to a stable platform.
Holding the workpiece by your hand or
against the body leaves it unstable and
may lead to loss of control.
• Only operate the function selector
switch when the tool has stopped.
• Always use clockwise rotation ⭮ for
hammer drilling, drilling and chiselling.

Adjusting the chisel position
1. Set the function selection switch (6) to
the
symbol.
2. Turn the attachment tool in the SDS-
Plus tool holder (1) to the required pos-
ition.
3. Use the function selection switch (6) to
select the
symbol for the chisel oper-
ation.
Pre-selecting the rotation
speed
The speed button (17) lets you to choose
between two speed levels.
The relationship between the number 1 2
on the display (level) (16) and the speed/
impact rate per minute is shown in the fol-
lowing table.

Inserting and removing the
battery
WARNING! Risk of injury due to
unintentional start-up. Only insert the re-
chargeable battery into the device once
the device is fully prepared for use.
NOTICE! Risk of damage! An incorrect
battery can damage the device and bat-
tery.
Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery (15) along the guide
into the battery holder (11).
You will hear the battery click into
place.
Removing the battery
1. Press and hold the battery release (12)
on the battery (15).
2. Pull the battery out of the battery hold-
er (11).
Switching on and off
WARNING! Risk of injury due to un-
intentional continuous operation of the
tool. Before inserting the batteries into
the unit, check that the on/off switch (7)
works properly and returns to the off posi-
tion when released.
