Folding mechanism
If you wish to operate the folding mechanism, always hold the
U-tube with one hand to ensure that the rack is not able to fold
out suddenly. (Risk of injury)
To open the car boot, you may fold the rack down, even if bicycles are mounted.
To do this, fi rst loosen the block of the folding mechanism by pushing the
locking bolt down (1)and pushing the handle away from you (2). Hold the
U-tube or bicycles with one hand, with the other hand pull the lever of the
folding mechanism upwards(). Now you can fold the rack down.
Folding the bicycle rack up
Raising the rack platform engages it back into the transport position (you will
hear a click). Secure the folding mechanism again by pushing the locking bolt
down and pulling the handle towards you.
The rack may not be used without the additional lock
securing mechanism.
Mounting the bicycles to the rack
Since the frame holders are not tied to any specifi c position, you may try out
a number of positions. It is important to ensure that the frame holder is fi tted
as high as possible.
Position the fi rst bicycle in the fi rst wheel rail (the wheel rail closest to the
vehicle). Connect the frame of the bicycle to the U-tube using the short frame
holder.
Place the second bicycle in the middle wheel rail, facing the opposite direction
to the fi rst. Connect the frame of the second bicycle to the U-tube using the
long frame holder.
Place the third bicycle in the third wheel rail, facing the opposite direction
to the second. Connect the frame of the third bicycle using the loose frame
holder (the one with two tensioning straps) to the frame of the second bicycle
Secure the wheels with the supplied short tensioning straps. Use one
tensioning strap to secure the rear wheel and two for the front wheel (see
picture) to prevent them from turning.

Now secure the bicycles with the long safety strap. Wrap the safety strap
through the bicycle frames and the U-shaped bar and tighten.
The bicycle rack may not be used without this safety
strap.
Safety strap
The bicycles are removed in reverse order.
7. TRANSPORT OF E-BIKES
When transporting e-bikes, the payload of the bicycle
carrier and the maximum load capacity of each individual
bicycle rail must not be exceeded.
Mount e-bikes only on the bicycle rails 1 and 2, see picture.
Maximum load capacity of the
Maximum load capacity of the
bicycle rails:
rail 1:
27.5 kg
rail 2:
27.5 kg
rail 3:
20.0 kg
Load the bike carrier so that the maximum payload is not exceeded. See
section 3. Specifi cations.
If you transport an e-bike on rails 1 or 2, the other bikes
must be correspondingly lighter so that the bike carrier is not
overloaded. Before loading, determine the weight of each
bicycle (e.g. using a personal scale).
8. MAINTENANCE
• After use, store the bicycle rack in a clean and dry place. Wash any mud or
other dirt off using water.
• Keep the trailer coupling clean and free of grease
• Keep the rack tow bar clean and free of grease.
• Check the bicycle rack regularly for damages. Damaged or worn parts must
be replaced immediately. Only original replacement parts may be used.
• Check the bolts and nuts of the bicycle rack regularly and tighten when
necessary.
• Immediately treat any damage to paintwork with paint.
• Regularly lubricate rotating and moving parts.
