SYMPTOM
Pump motor will not start, or
stops while operating.
Circuit breaker trips or fuse
blows in the
GFCI trips.
Motor runs but there is no dis-
charge at nozzle when trigger
mechanism is squeezed
Low or fluctuating pressure.
Water is leaking from Thermal
relief Valve.

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBABLE CAUSE
GFCI tripped.
Loose or disconnected plug.
Circuit overload. Tripped circuit
breaker or fuse blown in circuit
fuse box.
Tripped circuit breaker in unit.
Motor overload.
Unit is frozen.
Circuit overload.
Extension cord is too long or wire
is too small.
Too much pressure.
Incorrect voltage.
Electrical short to ground.
Water supply is not turned on.
Kink in water inlet hose.
Kink in high pressure discharge
hose
Water inlet screen obstructed.
Pump sucking air. (Prime lost)
Not in high pressure mode.
Obstructed or worn orifice.
Damaged or obstructed valve
assembly on pump.
Pump packings worn.
Unloader valve not operating
correctly.
Water inlet temperature is too
high.
Water temperature in unit is too
high.
Defective valve.
REMEDY
Turn unit "OFF". Test GFCI by pressing
reset button
Reconnect plug.
Disconnect all other plugs on the circuit be-
ing used and reset circuit breaker OR check
and replace fuse.
Allow to cool and restart unit.
Reset thermal overload button on pump
motor or inside electrical control panel.
Allow to thaw. If any part of the unit be-
comes frozen; excessive pressuremay build
up in the unit which could cause the unit to
burst resulting in possible serious injury to
the operator or bystanders.
Ensure electrical supply is identical to the
specifications listed on the pressure washer
data plate. Disconnect all plugs on the cir-
cuit. When connecting to a circuit protected
by fuses, use time delay fuses only.
Electrical requirements on extension cord
should comply with thespecifications listed
on the pressure washer data plate.
Use Adjusting Knob on Unloader to reduce
pressure.
Ensure electrical supply is identical to the
specifications listed on the pressure washer
data plate.
Contact Customer Service
Turn water supply completely on.
Remove kink.
Replace hose
Remove screen, clean or replace.
Tighten all water intake connections. Elimi-
nate leaks in intake line.
Insert high pressure nozzle.
Remove and clean, or replace.
Remove, clean or replace.
Replace packings.
Repair or replace.
Incoming water temperature must be less
than 140°.
Do not allow unit to operate in bypass mode
(with the trigger gun closed) for more than
three minutes.
Defective valve.
