WARNINGS CONCERNING POSSIBLE MALFUNCTIONS
• Should your device fail to perform, please contact the authorised service centre for clarifica-
tions.
• The manufacturer should be contacted to report problems and/or unexpected events re-
lating to operation and if necessary for clarification on use and/or maintenance/cleaning.
• Please also refer to the troubleshooting section and problem resolution.
WARNINGS
• Use the device for therapeutic purposes only. This medical device is not intended as a life-
saving device. Any other use is considered misuse and may be dangerous. The manufacturer
is not liable for any misuse.
• Always consult your general practitioner for identification of treatment.
• Follow your doctor's or therapist's instructions regarding the possible use of types of medi-
cine, dosage and indications for treatment.
• Pay attention to the indications provided with the drug and avoid using the devices with
substances and dilutions other than those recommended.
• If you should experience allergic reactions or other problems while using the device, stop
using it immediately and consult your doctor.
• Keep this manual carefully for further reference.
• If the packaging is damaged or opened, contact the distributor or service centre.
• The time required to switch from storage to operating conditions is about 2 hours.
• Repairs may only be carried out by personnel authorised by the manufacturer. Unauthorised
repairs invalidate the warranty and may pose a danger to the user.
• The nasal douche must not be used as a toy. The utmost attention should be paid when used
by children.
• Suffocation risk:
- Some components of the device are small enough to be swallowed by children, therefore,
keep the device out of the reach of children.
• Risk of ineffectiveness of therapy:
- In the case of substances that are too dense, dilution with suitable saline solution may be
necessary, as prescribed by a doctor.
- Comply with the cleaning instructions of the nasal douche as described in the hygienic
preparation section.
- Only use original Flaem spare parts, no liability is accepted if non-original parts are used
• Risk of infection :
- Personal use of the nasal douche is recommended to avoid any risk of infection.
- Carry out hygienic preparation before each use. Ensure that the douche and its parts are
not stored in the vicinity of other accessories or devices for different therapies (e.g. infu-
sion devices).
- Once the therapy is over, do not leave the liquid used (drug or saline solution) inside the
spray chamber and perform the hygienic preparation operations.
